Short bio

Balázs Kicsiny was born in 1958, in Salgótarján, Hungary. He lives and works in Budapest, Hungary. He is an artist, working with various mediums, from installations, videos to paintings. He graduated at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, Painting Department in 1982, received his MA diploma in 1985 and DLA diploma in 2008 also here. Between 2000 and 2004 he was a London correspondent for the Hungarian arts journals Műértő and Balkon. In 2005 he started to lecture in Budapest at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts Doctorate School where he is a professor of artistic research.
