Short bio

Hulda Stefánsdóttir is a visual artist and a Research Coordinator at the Iceland University of the Arts. She was a Professor at the University´s Department of Fine Art from 2008 – 2016 and the director of the MA programme in Fine Art since its foundation in 2012 - 2016. Hulda served as a steering group member for the KUNO network of fine art academies in the Nordic and Baltic Region 2012 – 2016 (chair for two years). She was on the expert panel for humanities and arts at the Icelandic Research Fund in 2017 and 2018. Hulda studied visual art in Iceland and in New York City, USA. Hulda Stefánsdóttir´s work is represented by BERG Contemporary in Reykjavík, Iceland.
